How-to videos

Each one is under a minute and shown on a fictional demo provider. Written steps sit under each video if you'd rather read.

Import your staff

  1. Go to Workers and choose Import spreadsheet.
  2. Choose your staff list (.xlsx or .csv). AuditM8 matches your columns: names, positions, screening, First Aid, CPR and more.
  3. Check each match, change any that look wrong, then click Import.
  4. Everything arrives as not checked yet, so it doesn't count toward your score.
  5. Open a worker to see what an auditor will look for and what's missing. Once you've seen the real document, upload it under Documents and check it.

Tip: each worker has their own link (Worker self-serve link) so they can add their certificates without a login. Everything they add waits for you to check.

Check your documents

  1. Go to Documents. Upload files one at a time, or use Import folder.
  2. Files not checked yet show as unverified with a Review button.
  3. Open the review. AuditM8 reads the file and suggests who it belongs to, what it is and when it expires.
  4. These are suggestions only. Open the file, compare, and choose the worker and the credential.
  5. Click Verify when it matches. Only then does it count toward your readiness score. If something is wrong, fix it or click Reject.

An expired credential can't be marked as checked.

Check a roster

  1. Open More → Roster check and upload a roster export (.xlsx or .csv).
  2. Check the column matches: date, shift, participants, funded ratio and staff rostered.
  3. Add a column with the names of who worked, and AuditM8 also checks each person's screening, First Aid and CPR on the date of the shift.
  4. Review understaffed and overstaffed shifts, and anyone who worked without a current screening.
  5. Click Raise a corrective action from the warning if needed, then Save this analysis to add it to your audit pack.

Clearances are checked against the records you hold in AuditM8. This is not a live check of the NDIS Worker Screening Database.

Get ready for audit day

  1. Open Audit day.
  2. Start with the score and the Needs attention list. Each item links to where you fix it.
  3. Scroll down for insurance, incidents, documents waiting for a check, and staff policy sign-off.
  4. Use Print / save as PDF for a copy.
  5. To share, enter your auditor's name and email and click Create link. They need a code sent to their email to open it. Every view is logged, and you can Turn off the link at any time.

Only owners and admins can create auditor links. The link shows incident timeframes only, with no descriptions or participant details.
